Angelo Giangreco was born in Milano, Italy, and grew up with the flavours of various regions in Italy and Sicily (being of Sicilian descent). He has always had a passion for food and creating perfection. In pursuit of a dream, Angelo came to Africa and started making Cheese in George in 2013. He began working on perfecting the Sous Vide cooking method for South Africa from 2014 and in 2015 "Angelo's Foods" was born.

Erica Steeman-Duncan joined the company in 2016 to help with client relations, marketing and the administration side of the business. Together, Angelo and Erica ensure that the final product that gets to the client is consistently authentic, of a high quality, and exactly as per the client's requirements.

Although the processing takes place in George, Western Cape (to be close to the raw products for the cheese), Angelo's Foods distributes Cheese, Sous Vide Meats and Pasta throughout the Western Cape and Garden Route, as well as nationally on request.

Our little company has a culture and philosophy of being as socially and environmentally conscious and responsible as practical. We don't add any preservatives, additives, colourants or chemicals to our products; we use minimal packaging and what we use is recyclable; we source, where possible, local suppliers who also focus on natural and organic based farming and production methods; we donate all our offcuts and trimmings for animal food; we make to order to minimise wastage and any leftovers are donated; our employed ladies are all single moms fully financially dependent on their wages... As the company grows we hope to be able to employ more single mothers and add meaningfully to the local charities.
